get a buggy !! Kyosho Kanai 2, with a RB Concepts C5 engine, and RB runned pipe. This combos is durable and has the most incredible performance !! hits around 50mph very easily also !! I have jumped mine 10 feet in the air numerous times, and nothing ever broke on me .. trucks are cool, but they are not as manouverable though and not as fast ... if you really want to spend $$ then get a 1/6 scale Marauder buggy from FGmodelsport ... and get all the metal upgrades for it .., and upgrade the Zenoag G23 to a G26, with a Samba tunning pipe, it does add up however, I ended spending over $3K on mine by the time i was done .. (check out http://www.netshop.nl )

Buggies are mostly faster but if you have your heart set on a truck http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/ may be the answer. I have seen these trucks jump a distance of 30-40 feet and come 15-20 feet off the ground and live. Like any hobbie they take some time to learn and build, when I built mine I learned alot here http://www.maxxtraxxusa.com/ .

T-maxx is a good truck if you not going to put in big block engine... There are the most mods for it than any other RC in history I believe.. I've got one with the XTM 24.7 engine and it's got rediculous power. Problem is when you go with a big block on the T-Maxx you start blowin stuff. You have to get a bigger chassis, bigger shocks, different springs and shock oil, the tranny gears go, the clutch fries, and the diffs blow. (don't ask how I know all that.)

So.... Now I'm looking at the HPI Savage SS, it's a big block and currently the only Monster Truck offered as a kit. I don't need another RTR I've got tons of parts and would like to recycle them out of the Tmaxx. The other trucks I like are the new Associated, and the new XTM Mammoth. The Mammoth has the same engine I already have in the maxx.

You can't go wrong with a Tmaxx as long as you keep a small block for power, they are great and will take a massive beating. If you wan't more power, don't we all? Then you might as well start with a big block in the first place instead of trying to mod the hell out of a small one.
