Hey Steve, great fix on those parts, and the raised panels look nice - I think you'll have to look real hard to find them after they've been painted though, unless you plan on doing a matte finish.

One thing that concerns me terribly is the picture of "wolfie" sitting on the rig on the table... Please do us all a favor and get a bigger table to put the rig on, or rotate the table 90 degrees so the rig can't slip off one of the edges by accident and cause another "oops". We would all hate to see you go through more pain and suffering!

Hope not!

As Sandy stated, PVC frame is screwed to the table, so it doesnt move independently of the table. Thanks for looking out for me!

WINNING!!!
Think your going to have the most detailed AW I have seen...
Great job on the repair!!!
Go light with the final coats of primer...or it could kill off some of your finer details... but you knew that already..
Mark, I think what I like most about hysol is that you can lay in a vertical line and it stays there.. reg epoxy will not do this!!
Great job Steve..

Fresh from the primer rack. First coat looks really good in person. Pretty dang pleased with the results. Looks like very minimal "detailing" will be needed. Ready for a wet sanding to flatten her out. Then second coat of primer, final sanding and then rivets. One step closer!

Thanks friends! Been waiting to see it in primer for a LONG time. It feels good to be at this stage, and I am very very pleased with how it looks with primer on it. Now I just gotta keep from totally screwing up the paint job!!!

Vertical tail fin raised panel details turned out pretty good I think.....

Once rivets are added, it should pop very nicely.

Quite the transformation from the stock Vario piece that I started modifying in December of 2015!

That color primer really makes the details POP!! The rivets are going to look great.

Got a couple hours in today sanding the first primer coat to flatten it all out and get it ready for final primer coat and rivets. First coat is sanding very nicely. So far so good. Some may think I am going overboard on prep, but this is more of an exercise to see what I can do, rather than trying to achieve a specific looking result.

IMHO, you can never go "overboard" on prep when the model will be painted black. Every little imperfection shows up in black. With your level of attention to detail on this model, all of your hard work will pay off.
