Why are the Raptor flyers knocking Century? I don't see Century flyers on the Thunder Tiger forum knocking Raptors. In fact I don't see it on any of the other forums. Nobody causing trouble but those "rappy" flyers. I think I'll buy an Evo. Then I can stay away from this bull*^%%.

Hi airfoil,

It's probably a matter of numbers. There are so many Raptor guys that there is bound to be a larger number of juvenile nosepickers in the Raptor community than in the Century community. As the number of Century fliers grows you can be sure Century will get their fair share of the above mentioned group.

They have to convince themselves

They have to convince themselves that they made the right choice paying 75% more for a heli that is 15% better.

Heliproz fuels the fire too. They talk like Century products can't even fly two seconds without disintegrating.

John, FYI, I bought my Hawk to practice awhile before I buy one of your business packages.

For it is a FAVORITE pastime

for a VERY few of them to come about and stir up some interest in their mis-biased opinions and to practice the art of bashing other guys that don't necessarily fly what they do. There are a couple of guys that just can't help themselves. To those (and I am darn sure you would rather NOT have me call you out by name) I simply say THIS.

LOOK BELOW AT MY CHOICES. I PAY FOR MY OWN WAY, I AM INFORMED ENOUGH ON DIFFERENT PRODUCTS BY DIFFERENT MANUFACTURES TO MAKE.........ADULT............DECISIONS ABOUT WHAT I OWN AND FLY.

There are several reasons for each ship I own. Look them over......and reserve judgement about any of them for this reason:

I own them, they are MINE. Each has a place in my fleet, and serves a different purpose.

For those raptor guys that continue to squawk and talk your B.S. here on the Century forum, let it be known to all of you.......in a way that can leave NO DOUBT on these words.

I OWN a raptor 50. I felt like I NEEDED to make some upgrades on it, and so I did. It was OK out of the box, but by NO MEANS perfect. It still isn't perfect, but...... I FLY IT almost every time I go out. I LIKE it.

It is also the one I feel is MOST EXPENDABLE. It flies JUST LIKE A RAPTOR, so don't go beating your chests. If I crash it, screw it. Not like I am out anything SPECIAL. It is JUST ANOTHER HELICOPTER THAT WE SPEND TOO MUCH MONEY ON AND WAY TOO MUCH TIME BICKERING ABOUT HOW YOURS IS BETTER THAN MINE.

I'lll tell you why MY raptor is better than YOURS. Cause I can TOTAL IT OUT IN A CRASH, and you shouldn't give a damn. It is not yours. Neither is my Century heli's. Mine too. So, run back to your turd tiger forum and let them know I don't care. Oh, before you ask......don't bother. It is MINE, and I ain't going to give it away. It is just a heli, not a religion. So, quit trying to burn down MY choices just to get your jollies. Go get one of THESE....one EACH......and then tell me what I am so wrong about. Take your ECONOMIC VOTE somewhere else if you dislike Century. Go spend a lifetime waiting on vario parts. Spend your last dollar on your shuttle spares......and deny your kids a hundred dollar pair of tennis shoes because you need a 33 in tail boom and torque tube for your Fury. Key word......SPEND. Choose WHO to spend it with. But, until you pay MY bills.......don't come in here telling me where to SPEND MINE.

READ IT AND WEEP

It's threads like this that start it all!
Post this same question in the TT or Hirobo section and you'll receive basically the same responce
Why are the Raptor flyers knocking Century? I don't see Century flyers on the Thunder Tiger forum knocking Raptors.
Or in the TT forum.....

That is bullsh#t
If you've ever paid attention during a "brand war" you will find it's not the "nosepickers" that drag these things out.
Don't forget the Hawk is "so cheap" that anyone with a bloody paper route can afford one!
They have to convince themselves that they made the right choice paying 75% more for a heli that is 15% better.
I think your numbers are a little off

$279-$159 = $120 (More for a Raptor)
$120/$159 = .75 ($120 is 75% of $159)

therefor $279 is 75% more than $159

Lets double check:

$159 * 1.75 = 278.25

Hummm looks like a raptor cost 1.75 times more than a Hawk.

That equals 75% up here.

Now I did say the Raptor was better, but by only 15%

Will a Raptor do 15% more tricks? Will It fly 15% longer? Does it need 15% fewer upgrades? Will it get you 15% more chicks? (not if your broke). I donno, I'm fairly new to Helis.

Really, I do think Raptors are better, but not a better value. The .30s are only trainers for me, I want to minimize my investment.

I love Raptors too! If I won the lotto I would be flying one.

I wasn't trying to start anything. I don't own a heli yet but I am looking. I've been reading the forums(TT,Cenyury,Hirobo) seeing who has the most problems, easy fixes etc.. It seems Century has the least problems and inexpensive parts. But I think I'll go with the Evo .50. Or maybe a Raven .50. No I'll just get both and have twice as much fun.

i think that is a good choice. i personaly have no experience with the others. i own a hawk III from century. as with ALL helis. it can get expencive. i am relitively new at this also. i recommend to buy yourself a good STARTER helli. one that will teach you the basics. century has a good one at a VERY reasonable price. 159.00. what you shoudnt skimp on is a radio system. buy one to the very best of your finalcial ability. look in our classified section, ask questions regarding radios. everyone here is very eager to help.

I fly Raptors, but I fly with a lot of guys that all fly Century. I have been really impressed with Century's products and I am even considering a Century for my next Heli. I started with Raptors because I have a friend that is a dealer, had that not been tha case I would probably buy a hawk. Trust me, a Hawk is nothing to be ashamed of. Good luck

Tom - Pred Gasser

This is soon to be released, right?

Will it cost less than most gassers (just like the Hawk costs less than the compitition)?

Any reason it wouldn't make a good video ship?

Zenoha powered?

CCPM?

It is all a matter of choice, I did my research before I got into Century heli's and for ME the choice has been the right one.
I second that notion. it really is a matter of personal choice. i fly with 10/10 who has a fury extreme, vigor cs, and xspec. i have flown them all and let me tell ya, they are all incredible machines.

I think we need to compare apples to apples when on these forums.
