hey all,

i have a 91 cspec pump motor in a xspec .

No matter what i do the rpms lock in at 1500 and even adjusting the throttle curve will not make a difference..

the motor is using a muscle pipe 2...

any ideas ???

It seems crazy that shifting my throttle curve is not making a difference..

9202 servo on throttle using a tj pro.. it seems like the rpms will never come up so the tj pro never kicks on...

i pulled the sesor from the tj pro so that it failsafed to normal and same results that is with the tj pro never even trying to turn on..

i dont think it is the tj pro.. i have tried 2

it just seems like the motor will never break the 1500 rpm point... but it runs great at that just a little slow..

Are you saying that with the TJ disconnected you have the same problem? The above text is a little hard to understand.

i still had the tj pro in the loop but removed the sensor so that it would always be in failsafe " normal non governor mode"

throttle still locked at the same exact rpms........

Is it still too rich to pull that kind of load?

What are your needle settings at? What plug are you using? What gear ratio?

also check that the arm is tight on the carb shaft.

Check that the ATV's on the throttle allow you to get full throttle.

Not sure since I have a viperhead on mine but it seems it is still a little rich. Might just be loading up.

c-spec... 7.75.... so in theory, you could have a safe obtainable head-speed of 1935. good god... i'm scared of mine at 1850.

tempest FAI?

Larry, you using a governor?

i dought that arm is loose... if it was, it would cause erratic rpms... throttle up on time, it would be say 1500, then you back the throttle off... spool up again, and i would be 2100 etc.... i've had these sorts of problems before

Larry . I have just posted a topic about a problem with my OS 91 that may be of interest and could possibly be a cause of your problem as well

Larry,

i've got the same engine and pipe as you. durring the run-in period the engine has a difficult time getting into idle-up being so rich. the only way i got mine to go to idle-up was by bouncing the collective... (load on load off etc.) with less load it goes to idle-up.
once you are run in and leaned out, this won't be a problem... or at least it shouldn't be
