Does anyone know the lenght of a futaba ant. on a PCM rcv. on channel 22??
Or, It has a deans base ant. on it now, and I am going to use this rcv. in an airplane, Is it acceptable to use a deans ant. internal in a fuslage?

Thanks,

Deans will work fine internal. I do it all the time. Just range check 1st as you would do with any new setup.

Yup, I use Deans in planks also. I put them in the last bulkhead going back from thr compartment under the wing. The Deans mounts facing back, then I bend the last 1" of the tip down some. You need to support the tip, so the mast does not fracture from vibration.

All Futaba 72mhz receiver antennas are 1 meter long. Use the Deans at your own risk in a plank because you will get some range reduction and, generally speaking, planks are flown farther away than helis. It's probably no a big deal but as stated above get a good range check.
