hey guys anybody know about the stock servos on a blade 450 ?
I bought it used from somebody without seeing it work, the guy said that he had a little incident with a picnic table I went and put all the settings into my dx6i from the manual. powered it up bound it to the transmitter, everything seems to be moving correctly the main shaft had a bit of a wobble so I pulled the head and changed it. but every servo on this helicopter is humming / making noise the tail servo seems sluggish and I got little right rudder on stick input.tons of left though and the tail servo is really loud / making noise the dip switch on the gryo in on DS I tried powering the Heli down and switching it to STD ...made no difference.. Plugged in another DS76 still makes noise and I can feel it thumping a bit
Anyone run into this with their 450 ?

BTW, did you go through the linkage setup per the manual and make sure all the lenghts are right? No binding?

Typically if the servo's are binding ... It would make buzzing and humming noises. I use my Heli's with HC3-SX, my servo hums, chatters and tiny jitters. However on my AR7200BX it does not. I have flown either one no problems ... I wouldn't not worry about it unless:
- servos are hot (over 95 degrees while on bench)
- excessive chatter where you see the servo arms move up & down 3-4 mm
- servo's moving with no input
- servo horns have slop while at center

But some big training skids and check to see if it hovers ok

blade 450
Thanks that was helpful info
I don't use training skids..
I will check the linkage lengths and go from there
I will get it out on the driveway and hover it for a few
The last time I saw this type of issue on the tail servo was because the gyro was on STD instead of digital..
Also was thinking of putting some hitec HS65 MG's or Carbonite servo's on it..
But I will defiantly check the length of all rods
You guys have been a bunch of help and I really appreciate it..
