moving my son down to Fayetteville Arkansas on 4/21/15.
his girlfriend moved down there last year and makes great money as an x ray tech.
just wondering how it is down there,2 of my kids will be gone and I have no use for a 2900 square foot house.
I know it is probably warm down there but I thrive on 80 to 90 degrees all the time! -25 degrees up here sucks! lol

The high temps are not the problem, its the high humility along with those high temps that will kick your butt.

Besides helicopter flying, there is some of the best Large Mouth bass fishing known to Man!

cool. I just turned 50 and life changed big time in the last few months.
been looking for a smaller 2 bedroom house in Arkansas with a few acres.
I can handle the humid weather.
Flying Brian,I have not fished in years but that does sound like a ton of fun.
getting close to the time when I can relax and do my own things now that the kids are getting older.
I still wont be happy until I build my mosquito helicopter!

I have relatives that live in Rogers AR. all the same area. Very nice area. Winters still get a little chilly it seems and they get snow, but I don't think it last nearly as long as it does here in Nebraska. Seems the area is constantly growing with a great economy, plenty of jobs I think. Plenty of outdoor stuff to do.

The humidity makes the heat a little more uncomfortable, but that's what central air is for. You won't be seeing negative temps, so depending on your tolerance, could be flying weather year round.
Also, have to get a motorcycle. Some of the best riding roads are there in the Ozarks.

I grew up in Fayetteville. Was a wonderful place and would move back if I could. More expensive now but still beautiful country. Oh and go hogs!

I have never been to Arkansas before so it should be interesting to see what it is like down there.
If we can make it down in one day from Erie pa that will give me 3 days to look around at property and houses.
would be a big decision we have been in the same house for 27 years now.

See if you can find stats on the density of meth labs per square mile.

Meh, not really. Fayetteville is a university town. The high school, when I went, graduated quite a few Stanford, UCB, Yale and Harvard alum.

we live just outside of Erie pa in east Springfield and we have had probably 5 meth labs busted by state police in the last few years.
most of them were less than 2 miles from my house.
my son went to Fayetteville last year to visit and said it is a big college town.
he also said it was either all young people or old people but then again he thinks I am old!
