Are the OS 61SFN-H crank bearings the same dimension as the OS 61SX-H? Don't have a parts list for the SFN-H.

The lot I got is not a lot, but I thank God a lot for the lot I got!

I don't know if they are the same or not. They have the same dimensions but they have different part numbers and different prices.

Hi Einzelganger,
I looked at those sites as well. Looking at RC Bearings and Paul has different numbers as well.
I have new bearings for an OS 61SX-H from Paul which are the same dimension. The only difference I can see is the bearing out of the SFN-H hosts 8 balls with a metal retainer and the SX-H bearing hosts 10 balls with a plastic retainer. Perhaps it's just a matter of quality?

The lot I got is not a lot, but I thank God a lot for the lot I got!

The SX had/has more power than the SFN and was fairly hard on bearings compared to the SFN. Get the ones for the SX. They'll work well.

Main difference is all my heli sets use plastic retainers because they have better fatigue resistance. None of these bearings are any where near their max RPM limit.

Both of those links are for a 61-300 bearing.
What am I missing?

I know almost all my OS91 engines had the same bearings no matter what the stock number was.

I literally never use the word literally right.
