hi, I have the Hummingbird right now, i am looking for something that is not to much money. i have found the hawk sport, and the eco 8. the thing that i like about the eco 8 is that i can use a plane radio, i fly plankes so i have a few extras radios that i could put right in it, i found a kit for the eco $155. If the eco is like the HB then i not sure that i want it, not that the HB is bad, i really like it. i just want something more. the draw back is the HB takes a lot of money to upgrade. for the money that i have in it i could have a hawk sport with out radio. if the eco 8 takes all the upgrades to make it something that is funner to fly then i do not want it. the read up that i read sound good, but i would lke to read something that a salesmen did not put together.

thanks for the advice
Paul

try a raptor 30, very cheap, easy to build and maintain, and parts avalability is super. but the hawk sport is also a very good heli, i would concider those for your next heli.

Seneca, that's just obscene, the amount you fly and all those helis, what a waste

Think you should donate them to a good home

HOLY SH*T MAN. I have a few questions for you.
Are all those yours?
Are you married?
Do you live at home with your parents?
Do you have a trust fund somewhere?

Or are you just that lucky?

Nice collection SENECA. I'm jealous.

SENECA rules

I "would" toss in that I have had excellent luck with the Shuttle Plus that I purchased to learn on..... but considering the broad experience that SENECA has with his extensive collection, (our RC heli comparison to Imelda Marcos who stated "I had one thousand and sixty." in her shoe collection), I would go with his advice!

While I purchased 6 R/C helicopters in just the past year, that still puts me, what, about 19 behind SENECA? That math says that if SENECA does not buy another bird for the next four years (fat chance of that ever happening), at that rate I will need another 4-plus years to catch up.... ahhh, no, not quite, I forgot that one also has to add the trailer, etc., and......

I will NEVER be in the same league! I quit!

SENECA, you rule, you win!
Cheers,
Grover

Seneca,
Outstanding pic! Looks about like my basement, but I've managed to convince Sherry that these things breed when in close proximity....two things accomplished here....explanation for "many" helos and when she told me to get the "males" out of the basement, I gained more storage room. It's gotten so bad now, that I have Christmas all year 'round with a "I didn't know I had one of those things," every so often....or the guys I fly with saying the same thing. Talk about "eaten up!"...LOL And, no cure for this disease....just like my heart failure that started this whole thing.

Guys and gals, enjoy your hobby. IT IS THE GREATEST thing since...oh, I don't know...."sliced bread (and here come the "sliced breat replies"....I can see them now). Well, it's Sunday, the sun is out and the wind is minimal here in Maryland, so time to start getting ready to FLY!

wolfdad sends....

P.S. How the hell did I get to be a Senior Heliman???? I'm only into forward flight, now and I sure as hell am not from Mexico

rp56,

i noticed that you live in woodland, i live just across the river in rainier, we have a club just outside of rainier on the way to saint helens, and it is about 2-3 miles past the trojan tower plant thing. so if you want to. come on down me and a helicopter flying buddy fly raptors so if you can come and get a close up look at the rappys.

good luck finding your heli,

hi Billy, i would like to stop by. please let me know what the times and days are. my girlfriend will be ready to kill after this, i know that it will start the ball rolling on getting a bigger chopper. (she hates this web site and everthing helicopter, oh-well ) she gets even more pissed when we go to the hobby shop and there is 50 plus year old guys there. i guesse that you never get to old to play . right now i have the HB with a few mods motors main and tail, and etec battery, i really like it but its not enough.

i would recomend one to anyone that has never flown a chopper before. i have been told that they are hard to fly, but if its your first heli, how do you know. also it can crash and almost burn, for little or no cost to keep flying

lol that sucks about your girlfriend yeah i will let you know the next time me and some of my other heli flying pals go down and fly it will most likely be the weekend after christmas or sometime during the week if everyone is free. i just flew my raptor 30 a few minutes ago actually i hovered it for a few seconds out in my house i was having huge vibration problems and so last night i replaced the main mast cause it looked like it was wobbling and after todays hovering all apparent vibrations are gone whewww lol i was getting worried about that

well have a great christmas i will let you know when we are going to fly.
