Hi all...I recently got into the micro helicopter hobby and my Hummingbird finally showed up last week. After practicing diligently on the simulator for a few days, I finally tried my hand at flying the real thing. Needless to say I have already broken parts . (It got away from me in the garage and headed straight for the lawnmower handle...WHACK...shattered a main blade). A little CA and some tape and I was flying (you call that flying??) again within an hour or so.

Ok, now to the point of this post: I just wanted to pass along my great experience with ehobbies.com. I found them as a source for Hummer parts and they carried a crash kit along with some heatsinks and all the other basic accessories. I ordered from them at 6:20pm EST yesterday (Friday) and as of Saturday morning my package has already been shipped! Incredible service! I'm aware that Heli-Hobby has parts too (and more of them), but that's where I bought my original kit from and man, it took F-O-R-E-V-E-R to get here. Plus, they kept giving me crappy answers when I tried to find out if it had even been shipped. So, needing parts *quickly* I chose to go elsewhere.

I feel that companies who provide such outstanding service as ehobbies did deserve some public praise and they definitely deserve it from my perspective. Check them out if you need parts for your Hummingbird quickly. The only negative is the shipping cost...a 2nd day delivery cost me $27 just for a crash kit and two heatsinks...but if ya need your parts quickly...you've gotta do what you've gotta do!

Take care and I hope everyone has a great holiday!

Happy flying...

That is good to know. I also recommend Sly's, Detee, and Aeromicro for parts or anything else that one might need

ehobbies!?!?!

Ok, Well, I am certainly not for bashing any company. especially the ones that work hard for thier customers. But let m eshare my e-hobbies story.

I ordered my Hb Kit from E-hobbies on 12/10/03 At the same time I ordered a crash kit. the Hb & Supplies I shipped 3 day, and the CK I shipped 3-7. Well, I finally called them on the 12th when it had not shipped. Origionally it had said "In stock, Ships in 1-2 days". I was informed that they ran out of stock today (the 12th), and my order wasn't filled yet. Meanwhile the CK shipped. sooooo, I talked to Brian (x12) and asked him when I could be reciving the Hb & Extras ( A Few batteries, blade holder, training gear ect.). He said that they would have them in by the middle of the next week. Well, I finally called today (22nd) because it hadn't shipped yet. I have been promised that it will ship tomorrow.

They have upgraded me to free overnight shipping, and free upgrade to the V2 Airwolf. Not a terrible deal, if I actually recive it before the new year. Here is hoping... I will keep you all updated.

Well.....

Well, I have to say that this is a mixed e-mail message...

E-Hobbies has done all that they could to help me, however, thier order was lost somewhere by UPS. This is unfortunate for them, and the final straw for me. They are of course still VERY willing to help me, and have continued to offer free upgrades & Free Overnight. I have however found my love from Helihobbies.

To any member of this forum... I would HIGHLY reccomend Either of these two companies. E-Hobbies was the unfortunate victim of UPS (I think that we all have been there!!), but I can say nothing but good things and praise for Brian.. He has gone out of his way in what is most definately the most frustrating, and lengthy two weeks of his life (He was e-mailing with me from his home trying to resolve this!). If you have problems call / e-mail him, and he will make things as right as he can! Do not bother to speak with anyone else... The other gentleman that I spoke to took a 'So-What... It's not my Problem!' Attitude with me...

Needless to say I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting Helihobbies to confirm my order and ship, ship, ship!

I am SURE that I will continue to post as I Crash.. I mean Fly my newest endevor... I can't wait!! I'm hooked for life (Almost sounds like a prison term doesn't it!!)

That was great customer service from e-hobbies. I think they deserve your business and patience.

My 2 cents.
