I think I may have found a problem. I am not trying to bash this product so please don't take this wrong. I just did some testing after a crash and found someing and I want to know if any of you out there have had the same problem. I have 2 Pro II now in the air both have Futaba 309 synth recievers, I had the recievers mounted in the Quick reciever boxes and it was mounted to my servo tray. I thought this was going to protect my reciever in the event of a crash. One heli had a throttle glitch at idle when I would touch the heli, the other when coming up to hover just as it got light on the skids, locked out. With some of the strings put on here about this reciever I did a little testing and found that this box when bolted to the servo tray amplifies the vibrations into the reciever instead of keeping them away. So you may take this as a warning or maybe I'm still looking in the wrong spot

I think a few layers of 1/4 inch foam combined with a couple KSJ receiver wraps will do a better job of isolating vibration AND protecting the electronics in a crash. This is to protect them from damage to the case. After any crash, the receiver always goes back to Futaba for checkup even if it appears undamaged.

I thought the RX boxes were a kinda good idea, BUT, I came to the conclusion that they put a lot of compression on a small amount of foam and thus don't do a good job of isolating the vibration. They might be good for keeping components dry if you fly in the rain. Beyond that, I'm not sure I agree with their intended purpose.

Try mounting the receiver box on the receiver tray with some double sided padded Velcro tape. It give the receiver box a little more shock protection and a cushion to rest on. I also use a Velcro strap to secure the receiver box to the tray as well. Another thing with the Quick receiver box, you might want to use some long hex head bolts to secure the top and bottom halves together instead of the self tapping screws they give you with it. The ones that come with it seem to strip the holes in the box instead of getting them tight.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I just don't do mine up tight .. the case protects the recv but there is no pressure on the innards.
A big chunk of foam underneath keeps away the vibs.
and laccy bands to hold it in place

I use a bit of padding on the tray then then battery, another little bit of padding then the box and wrap the lot in a special wrap by NHP with a velcro strap round and bands to keep the lot in place. No probs in 2 years. Good thing about a box is that it stops the connectors coming unpluggged too.

I stuck foam padding strips onto the vertical and horizontal sides of the servo tray of my Raptor 30 and then placed my Quick UK box onto the padding and secured with elastic bands.
I have two Quick UK boxes and both have long bolts and not screws.
They have saved me after many crashs.
