14 pounds ? Wow that is a hefty amount. But I guess you have to have a pretty good head speed with the RC gas motor to get the pop you want. I have seen vids of this setup and they seem pretty impressive!

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

wow not bashing.....but
i got hanson on my predator and toxic on the goblin.....
but they are both used birds
hanson............always hard starting,,,,,,gets hot, vibrates alot ....and can never get settings right......but could be me

toxic........start without choke.......runs smooth......not much vibs........but i havent got it in air yet...

like i said both are used. dont know how many flight times on each.....but my opinions for now......and man how did you get it to 12 pounds....

i had no fuel in her to weigh....got even 14, and small rx battery, where would you cut corners on a goblin.....they are preety simple and low on parts as it is......thats 2 pounds......in heli weight thats a big loss

I used the lightest servos I can find the align 610. life pack battery so no need for any kind of step down converter.

vbar also eliminates the need for a gov. at this it was 13lbs 5oz.

then I installed the HWC EI system on my TRM 300

http://www.centuryheli.com/products...2106&pageid=690

this uses a very light fan instead of the flywheel and ignition coil. it also eliminates the pull starter.

I also use this clutch witch is a lot lighter than the stock Zenoah clutch.

http://www.rapid-racing.co.uk/-Bi-D...11720/13551.htm

most goblins come in more in the 13.5lbs area. I don't know why your up over 14lbs.

im also only using just the stock landing gear struts. don't know how much that makes a diffrants

13.28 pounds wiith no concern on weight reduction. Includes an RJX mod muffler, ultraguard and G10 skids.

For me flying characteristics and durability is way more important than a few ounces.
