Hi,
I'm building my 1st Bergen Gasser, and have a question on the main shaft.

My main gear has the bevel teeth on one side (top), flat on the other (bottom). The auto hub is inserted from the bottom, the flange fits into the recess on the flat (bottom) of the main gear.

Looking down from above:
Turning the main gear clockwise - main shaft doesn't spin - I can hold it
Turning the main gear counter-clockwise - main shaft spins, I cannot hold it

So, it looks like the main rotors will spin counter-clockwise. Is this correct ?
Can someone explain how the autohub works ?

Thanks in advance - Rick

auto hub

sounds to me like the one way bearings were pressed in backwards in the auto hub.
when you turn the main gear clockwise the main shaft should spin, the bergen gasser has a clockwise rotation.

problem resolved

Thanks for the reply.

I went back, and now see that I have the auto hub upside down. The flange part is correct, but I have the larger portion down instead of up.

Oh, good, back to building ...
