well as you know from the last post,I decided to join in on the micro fun.I picked up a Nano CPx.So its my first micro and first FBL..lol,believe it or not. So,on Sunday I picked up a used DX6i.I gotta say,its actually a pretty good radio.I have helped some guys with setup before but haven't programmed one from scratch before. As a lifelong FUTABA guy, I was really familiar with their programming.

But here on RR you read the threads, the, 'Futaba programming sucks Spectrum is Better" and "Spectrum radios are horrible", you know, all the fanboy type threads. But I didn't find anything that was difficult or had me scratching my head.I literally had the Nano programmed in about 15 min.And considering the DX6i is a low end radio I think its perfect as a second radio for BnF stuff.

But all in all,so far this micro thing is pretty darn fun.Who knew you could have this much rc heli fun inside, in the winter

I too bought a couple of micro helis for some indoor winter fun! The church I go to, let's me and a friend fly in the gym after the services, and any time during the week as long as its not being used. Some of the members have stopped by to watch use and ask 20 questions.

was a Futaba guy too... then wanted to simplify the programming of dozens of models I review. I read the Spektrum radio manuals, bought a DX8, now have a DX9 and have no regrets.

I agree the DX 6I is a great radio and will serve you well. I have one just sitting I should sell, but they are going cheap right now.

I sorta miss my 8FG but I will admit I had a harder time learning the Futaba layout than I did the Spektrum.
Once you get it though,it works better than Spektrum...programming I mean.

I think that the micros are in a league of their own. I have the mcpx, the blade 130,the blade 180, the trex 150, and the trex 250. I like the 250 the best. It seems to fly like it's bigger brothers. The 180 I just got and only have couple of flights on it so far so good.

OH and another thing I just got the DX9 black edition and the programing on it is a lot easier that my 14sg. Also have the 6i that has served me well for about 5 years.
