There is no switch. The JR 10 Series is plane only or heli only (unfortunately). You can fly a 4 channel plane with the heli version, but I don't recall anyone flying a heli with the plane version. It really depends on how much time you want to spend trying to get it right.

I had a 10x and started playing with planks. I got tired of the limitations in my 10x so I sold it and got a 9Z WCII.

Ace..........he's asking about the 10SX, it does do planks.......did I say that???. The 10X is specific to one OR the other, but not the "SX".....

10sx flying planks

How do you switch it? In 8 years i haven`t found the switch. Unless your talking about using it like a 4 channel.

Yes, I know he's asking about the 10sx. He said so in his post.

Perhaps these folks are wrong as well:

As stated in my previous post the 10SX aircraft specific: Heli or Plane, but not both.

I don't think you can switch the 10S / SX series from heli to aircraft. Best you could do is to disable the canned mixes like the throttle/collective. Then it essentially becomes a conventional radio. It just won't have the aircraft (fixed wing) mixes. I'm pretty sure you can disable the mixes. Been a while though, and I don't have my JR radio handy.
(edit) or perhaps it may have been just disable the tail rotor mix. darn, been too long....

If you need special mixes for the aircraft, you still have a bunch of custom mixes you could tailor to your needs.
