Hi,

What model Himax motor would be the best choice for a stock hummingbird running 2-cell 1200 etec packs.

What pinion to use with motor?

I am getting tired of fooling with brushed motors with my piccolo and hummingbird and can't get my hands on a razor motor so I guess the next best thing would be a Himax or would a astro be better choice for my hummer with the 2 cell packs?

Thanks,
Randy

If it were me, I'd go with the himax 2015-4100.
You'd probably want to run an 8 or 9 tooth pinion with stock blades.
Once you go brushless you'll never go back. You aware you'll need to set the heli up for separates then correct ? A separate speed controller for the tail motor. Also, you'd need a radio with revolution mixing to run a standard rate gyro. Check out helihobby for details on separates and go to http://www.b-p-p.com for the himax motor and controller. Hope this helps.

I'll just continue to use the old piccolo piccoboard for the tail esc, gyro and mixing and just use the brushless for the main as that would save me some change right now.

If I keep dumping money into these micros than I may never get my new radio and Eolo.
