Are the Jr DS811 servos good enough to use on a CCPM Raven? I see they only have a single BB. Will they hold up ?

They would certainly not be my first choice. But, if you own them already, run 'em.

They seem to be the offering from Jr when you buy an 8103.

tigerflyer66,
I have a friend I fly with quiet frequently that has alot of time flying a Raven 50 CCPM with those servos. The seem to be holding up fine actually.

But, as with all things when you work any given product to it's max capacity you can expect reduced life.

I agree with Al...if you get 'em fly 'em! They will do fine for at least a hundred flights. I have no real data and maybe Jessie will see this thread but based on how much he flies I am going to venture that he has well over 150 flights on those servos.

So again....fly 'em if you got 'em! When they get sloppy you'll know it's time to change.

Also, just a FYI...I have a Raven 30 with cheesy Futaba 3001s(lowest grade servo Futaba sells).

I was looking at the Falcon or Raven as the next heli. Didn't want to waste any $$$ on servos that wouldn't do the job. I have found in this hobby with electronics,it's better to spend a little more and have them take you further instead of buying twice.

Yes, the servo's will do fine. And if you get them with an 8103 you will be even happier. The 8103 is a great radio. I am jr biased when it comes to user friendlyness. Futaba makes better gyro's.

I have more than 200 flights (and nearly that many crashes) on a 30 sized CCPM with 811's , No trouble with the 811's at all, and I've gone through three sets of gears in the 9253 tail servo.
