Was looking at the Carbon gyro plate upgrade. It reads "aluminum base and CF plate for the ultimate stability in gyro performances"
Does your gyro really know if its sitting on a carbon plate or a stock plastic one? Is this a useful or useless upgrade? How much stability will this add to my gyro performance?

Gyro doesn't know if the support is CF or plastic as long as it stays still and it doesn't go all over the place as the stock one does, at least mine did.

The stock plastic radio tray/gyro tray does move all over the place, which will effect gyro performance. The more stable the tray, the more gain you can run.

I've just fitted Heliups gyro tray set, and have been able to turn the gain up on my CSM 200 gyro by another 15% or so. The tail is absolutely rock steady now.

It clamps the rear canopy bracket far more solidly than the original plastic tray too, and it looks cool....
