I am tryng to set up a voyager e with a futaba 8uhp non super radio. after looking around I found that it could be done but I am still having problems. I have followed these directions
I use a non-super Futaba FF8, and from looking at the news groups does cause some confusion over the set-up of this and believe me it took me ages to get it right.
1. Channel Order: Aileron 1 = CH1, Aileron 2 = CH6, Elevator = CH2
2. In PARA. select HELI SWH2
3. Activate PMIX-1, mix PIT>ELE, +100% +100%, OFST 0%, SW-A NULL
4. Activate PMIX-2, mix ELE>PIT, -30% -30%, LINK ON, TRIM ON, OFST 0%, SW-A NULL
5 Inhibit HOV-PI
Note: I found the settings in Edbergs book wrong for the mixing, on the P MIX2 you will see he had –50 –50, and if you look at http://www.futabarc.com/faq/faq-8u-q283.html
you will find they have –30 –30. If you keep the –50 –50 forward and back cyclic will cause the collective to change, if you want to know why, draw it on a bit of paper… The distance between the left and right servos to the center is equal, the distance between the front two servos and back servo is NOT equal to the center, draw it and you will see…! Anyway it works…
I have done this and now get everything working correct except for the pitch - it is backwards. My hair is getting pulled out quickly, in fact I may be bald soon if I don't figure this out. Your input would be great. Thanks in advance.
