Hi, I'm coming home for the holiday's and hoping to get in contact with some heli flyers in Tucson. It would be great to meet some more members of runryder in person. I'm currently just learning to hover on a raptor 30 v1 thanks to the help of Buzzin Brian, JerryC, and Mark. They help me with the setup. So I'm looking for people that would be willing to share advice, possibly mechanical and repair issues and don't mind having a newbie around asking all different types of silly questions. Also was wondering if any shops in Tucson are carrying parts for heli's and are there any none AMA fields. Sent my membership in last week or the week before, so i don't know if i will get the membership while I'm there. Thanks for reading and if you want to contact me please feel free to PM, e-mail, or give me a local call on my cell, . I live on the north side. Oracle & Ina area but am willing to drive all over town.

Thanks again,
Mike

Mike, there are a few hobby shops in Tucson. Hobby Barn on 22 and Kolb is about the best one with the most heli stuff, not a lot though....

Not sure on fields. There is a dirt planker lot off I-10 and Tangerein (SP) road.

You welcome to drive to mesa and fly with us on Sundays...PM me for more info....

Hi Mike,

Feel free to PM.

There are a few AMA fields. I fly at Southern Arizona Modelers on Dawn road on the Pima county fair grounds. Tucson radio controll club on valencia just east of Houghton, also has a few heli guys. Not sure, but i am told most of the heli flyers go to Catalina field near sportspark and I-10. Hobbytown caries a littel heli stuff. By far the best is Hobby Barn near 22nd and kolb. They have just about everything for Raptors in stock.

Hey Mike, I am a current but soon to be former member of the Catalina club and just want you to know that most of the heli flyers have taken up residence at TIMPA on the far west side of town. Great facility with all of the amenities and the sun is at your back. you should have been there last week and watched Krause with his MA E-heli.
Hobby barn carries pretty much all the Raptor stuff you will need.
We all have or had Raptors and it will be our pleasure to help.
hope to see you there.
Robert
