I just bought a Staysee FRP body from Fun Tech for my Freya 91 which using YS91 + Fun Tech pipe. Anyone can share with me about what should be care when mounting this body in my Freya?

According to the manual, they recommend to cut the chassis in boom mount area so that the tail can be lowered by 15mm. Is it really necessary?

Heli Genius,
can you post a picture of the fuselage? Not familiar with this one, I don't know about anyone else on here.

I guess you would do the same with any Fiberglass fuselage .... Give the Fuse a HOT SOAPY BATH to remove any mold release and scrub with a scotchbrite pad then paint. Put your Mechanics in with the wood saddle and epoxy with cloth. Looks like it will me a mean FAI Machine!!

Thanks Heli genius.
that looks like a fuse for FAI. I know that Miniature aircraft has/had a similar fuse and Kalt also had a similar one when they were around.
Wish I could help you out more, but that looks like a fuse that would take the entire mechanics, meaning tailboom attached.
I did a "hang-on" fuse many years ago. I put thin plywood on the floor to set the mechs on, and also made up a bracket to mount the top of the mecs to the top half of the fuse. I did fix the tailrotor to any part of the fuse and did not experience any vibrations in my case. You might pull the landing gear off and slide the mechs inside and see if what I did in the past might work for you.
Anyone else out there have some input for heli genius?

Yes, it is a fuse for FAI. I bought my Freya specific for FAI F3C purpose. I hope this fuse can help me in hovering stability when under strong wind.

Thanks for all input so far.
