Which pipe is better for the Vario Jetcopter turbine 500: the Vario one with deflecting louvers or the one from Germany with vents on both sides? In either case do I need the heat blanket inside the heli?
Regards,
David

here is a link of Optikaman's 500 test flight .... it uses a straight pipe he made, with deflectors at the end (like the one VarioUSA makes).... I think it flies really nice !! now that the phasing is set on the head, this thing is super smooth and impresive ! I can't wait to see Alan (Optikaman ) finish and paint this thing !!

link here

the split pipe from Vario will fly at a more level atitude, but you have the exhausts out the sides ...

as for the heat blanket, i would use it on any turbine heli. I wrap my pipe in it, and line the fuselage ... my fuse in my bell230 stays 100% cool ...

Hi Guys !

Looks great in the air, even the sound.....I just can smell it !

I think Woijtek mentioned it already during the video if I got it right, but it definitely needs some forward trimming with wheight in the nose...

Get that thing painted !

i now have it in primmer and will soon begin to add the detailing and paint to follow. i am still waiting on the lighting components and i hope to have it in color by mid feburary.

Elliot the 500 is ballenced and needs no nose weight, the tail down posture in a hover is due to the thrust coming out the rear end.

Alan...
