I would like to know if there is a proper way to hold your radio when you are out flying or on G2 sim. Do you use your neck strap when you are on G2 sim.? I fly with my thumbs but I noticed the difference when I'm on the sim. I have been holding the radio lower and do not use neck strap.

sim

I actually noticed the same thing tonight. So I got my strap and tx and started using that. Had to readjust to it. But I think that is a better way since you are trying to simulate flying!! Keep it as real as possible.

Well i never use my neckstrap G2 or RL, never could get it long enough to be comfortable....

Im just wondering if im supposed to hold the Tx like i see the Szabo's hold it, with most fingers on switches.... i tried, felt very uncomfortable, but im sure cyclic and pitch input is much more accurrate, instead of accidentally adding rudder input when using pitch because of the thumbs natural arch...and access to buttons are much easier...

Whatever works for you is the right way for you to do it. Sometimes I use a strap, sometimes I don't. Whatever works! To get the max benefit from G2, you should hold/use the radio the same way you would if you were actually flying.

Sometimes, I hook my computer up to my JVC HD 65" and stand while I fly G2 instead of sitting at the desk. The super huge screen also helps A LOT with the perspective lost in G2. It helps the overall experience with G2 and seems to make the training I do on the sim carry over better to the real world.
