Hi, today I discovered that I could download the Corona 120 to the Realflight 2 Simulator, along with more free places to fly (even the actual look of the Corona)! I'm definately happy about this discovery. Also, on the editing of the heli screen, I noticed that they attempted to have the correct modifications applied to their demo as does the actual Corona ( Fusion 7, etc.). This is where my question comes in. Even though I don't completely have my Corona built yet, my next purchase, I planned on installing the GY240 Gyro w/heading hold. However, when I select heading-hold with the simulater, it is unbelieveably difficult to fly. On the other hand, with the Peizo-Gyro, it works fine. I'm thinking that because I've been practicing so long with the regular nitro heli's, (with the simulator), that my fingers might be freaking out since I'm not used to heading hold. If this is possible, then maybe I should purchase a gyro that isn't heading-hold. So, is it what I'm used to that's making it so difficult, or is this part of the simulated Corona with heading hold unrealistically making it more difficult? I'd appreciate any input. By the way, flying the Corona on the simulator is different than the nitro's. The Corona feels much lighter, more sensitive with controls, more effected by wind, and basically, more difficult to regain control during a tail-spin and just more tempermental you could say. But, much, much better than that silly electric that is already installed in the simulator. Overall, I love it, it's just different. I'd appreciate any input on the gyro question, thanks, Steve.

Corona Realflight 2 download info

Hi Dragon flyer. First I accidently discovered the website on some obscure website. But during my loading of the different parks, I decided to just click the mouse on the Realflight 2 panel that appears on the options menu intitled Realflight 2 website. There, they make it clear that without spending money on add-ons, you are limited parks that require only the G2 updated add-ons. Still, I downloaded about 20 new parks without add-ons. However, if you have the original Realfight lite, you will not be able to do this. It appears as though Realflight has allowed those extremely familiar with aircraft to design these models (with a disclaimer that they are not resposible for info gathered) Anyway, go to the Realfight website, click on "swaps", there you can find airports, different heli's, and airplanes. Also click the "trim" button to recieve the Corona body itself. Like I stated, the modifications appear to be accurate, you can even install the Astro motors in the edit motor section if you wish. I also downloaded the Mikado 20, its awesome, best of luck, Steve.

I tried that Corona model some time ago and found it to be nothing like the real thing. It's based upon the "Watt-Not" and suffers from the same extreme FFF pitch up that renders it practically unflyable. At least that's my experience.. YMMV

Lance,

Well, I guess that's at least reassuring because it isn't exactly the easiest to fly. Glad the real thing will be better. I bought more parts this week, getting closer to my heli, Steve.

Steve, Where did you download the Corona from? I just ordered a Corona 120 about a week ago, and I would be interested in getting one for the G2 sim as well.

Nitrocrushr ;

Once you recieve the Realflight 2, you can download the parks and the Corona from the instalation etc. screen. It will go straight to their website. I havn't had time lateley to fly it again, but I've heard that the Nitro Impala is more realistic. Just for the hell of it, I may change the specs fo the Corona body to fly like the Impala--when I get time. Good luck Nitrocrushr, Steve.

R2 Corona

Hello all,
Here's the link to get the Corona Download, it's right off the G2 Swap page..
http://www.bestrc.com/hobbies-bin/c...cLMH-120NRL.exe

It's a bit twitchy and balloons real bad in FFF, I'm trying to find out how to get rid of that problem and will post more when I get it figured out.

Does this heli closely resemble the flight characteristics of the Corona? How about the Watt Not, does this heli fly very similar to the real Corona 120? I am assembling a Corona 120 right now and have been practicing with the Watt Not on my G2. I was just curious if it is pretrty realistic to the real thing. I know that the Impala trainier is pretty similar to my Raptor 30 V2, but was not sure about the Fixed Pitch helis.
