It just may be a stupid question (they say the only stupid question is the one that wasnt asked.....I dont really believe that though) Has anyone ever run two header tanks? I have a spare tank and was thinking about plumbing it in at the same location just on the oposite side of the bird but didnt know if there would cause any problems with mixture and such because of the extra fuel line. The only reason I was thinking of doing this is for the wee bit of extended run time...opinions anyone?

You asked for an opinion right?... I don't think it will cause a problem but I also don't think it a very good idea .. Really... more fuel tubing, another clunk, more fittings and in general more to go wrong... for 2oz.

The only flame-out I've had in the last 5 years was from a bad line in the header tank.

Cheers,

Bill

I know that! Thats why i use one. I just dont see the need for two. 1 works fine so why 2? Longer flight times? Understand what i mean now?

Not sure if you're talking about a R30 or R60. If it's an R60, but the larger (550 cc) fuel tank to replace the stock tank. If it's a R30 V1, buy the larger tank for the R50 V1.

If the above doesn't work, then you don't really need longer flight times. You just need to push your limits more. I know when I'm done flying a full tank, I'm about ready for a break. The pounding heartrate and the shakes from the adrenaline rush is a good sign its time to land and rest a few.

good points by all! I just figured I would throw it out there, I knew the reason for the one header tank, but was just thinking about a wee bit more run time...but, 2 oz of xtra fuel really dosent go that far.... I had a spare header tank and figured what the heck? why not? then I figured well better check with some others to see what they thunk Hey ya'll Just picked up a new OS 61 SX WC with a MP2....(replacing the OS 61 SF I got in there right now) Cant wait to get that head speed up where it belongs (couldnt do it with the SF, was afraid of the vibs of the long stroke) pretty happy about that!
