I soon have all equipment I need, but since my cash flow starts to dry out, I am wondering...

I have a 12V Gel battery in my field box, and I am thinking of buying a 1700mah battery for my Raptor.
Can I use an ordinary car battery charger for the gel?
Can I use the charger in the radio kit (Futaba C9) to charge the 1700mah?

Or do I have to buy an expensive charger right now, like Triton...?
Is there cheaper altenatives?
What do I gain buying an expensive one?

Thanks
Phil
