I am getting a Hawk Sport and will be ordering a OS.32sx-h engine which muffler should I use??? I am told the black stock muffler from
century is not very good so what do i need to put on it to get good performance. Now keep in mind i am not going to go buy a 140.00 tuned pipe or anything like that im just looking for a good solid choice.

Thanks in Advance!!!

I have the stocker

with a piece of hose on it to keep crap off bird, is a bit loud, but is more than adequate to get started with..........I am going to get a Century torpedo HV next, cause I fly alot at the house, and need more noise reduction.................fritz

Check out the Maverick muffler, you will really like it. Not a bad price. The stock one will do, but like said before it is a tad loud.

I bought my Hawk III years ago as a beater heli for learning inverted. It served me well, and I left it in its stock form. I used the stock muffler with good results, so I'd recommend at least giving it a try so that you can make a good comparison between that and any after-market exhaust.

Well I guess I will give the stock one a try as I am only learning and do not truly need any performance gain. Thanks for all the responses!!

DarkForce,
The stock muffler will get the job done. It's simple and effective. Just a tad loud. I agree with Sreuss in that you should give it a gallon and then make up your mind.

I have heard the Maverick muffler and it's ok. The Century Speed Torpedo seems a tad quieter to me. And it pumps out great power. That is what I have on my Raven 50(of course the 46/50 sized one).

On my Raven 30 I am running the MP2. With 30% nitro it's a GREAT combo! Powerful and consistent runs.....
