I switched from 15% to 30% nitro on my OS 32.
I didn't change any settings; it seems to run rich on the low end.
Does this make sense?
I'm concerned that if I lean the mixture the engine may run too hot.

It makes perfect sense, and if anything, your engine will run cooler when you lean it properly. The reason that you seem to be running rich is that there is more energy in your fuel, requiring more oxygen to burn it properly. I've forgotten the physics involved, but I know that higher nitro fuel will provide more cooling to your engine than lower nitro fuel.

Higher nitro fuel and more oil in it than lower nitro fuel. This makes the engine happy!
