Well, I am joining the many and building my first raptor V2 50 size. I was VERY impressed with it, having build many helis before, of the fit and robost look of the parts. Things were going great untill I hit the Clutch Bell.....What a piece of Crap! They really need to hook up with anohter heli manufacture to get these from them or to learn how to machine correctly.

Mine does not even come close to being machined straight! There is a wobble right from the start! The 2 gooves they have machined in there move up and down as the bell is spun. The bell does not sit level as one part is lower then the other.

Luckly, I have a lathe and chucked it up, cutting it down a little as possible to get the wobble out of it. I also drilled 4 holes on the top 90 degrees apart for looks/fun. I think for the most part the inside (the part that matters really) is pretty circular. Will find out!

Man, what poor machining, anwyone else get one they needed to replace right from the start?

Sounds like you got a bad one and instead of machining it, might have been better off returning it for a replacement.

If I throw a stick, will you leave?

Hey Ray,

Well after thinking it over I decided not to make my own but instead just buy another . I just wan't up to the time and effort. It spun pretty well but was quite off balance and I just couldn't get all of the warp out. I got the new clutch bell and its 100x million better. It spins very nicely! Of course I had to go modify it Yep, should of just sent the first one back

It balanced very well before and after I drilled/countersunk the holes.
Best extra $20 I have spent in a long time hehehe
