Hi all. I think we should not only mention the bad experiences we have with various on line shops but the good ones as well.

I think Midland helicopters (http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk) offer a superb service to their customers. So far I have made two orders to them and their response and service was excellent.

In both cases they informed me that my order was shipped (within few hours since I posted the order). The first one arrived to me within three days (from U.K to Greece) and the final price was lower (!!!) than the one mentioned in the proforma. In the proforma they charged me 7 Euros for shipping & handling but the actual cost was lower and they charged me the lower rate instead of keeping the difference for their benefit.
The second one was placed today and with this service I think many more will be placed from me.

I think the good customer service should be rewarded this is why I am posting this.

Cheers
Sotiris

I've had lots of success with midland, I've found them to be really good and usually have what I want in stock.

Hi

I haven't ordered form them in a while, going back a year or so their Mail order, even to UK addresses was poor in comoarison to other outlets, Skyline for example.

An order placed would often take 4 days before it arrived, I'm sure it was to do with the quantity of mail, and the system they had for packaging etc.

Looks like they may have got it sorted. I have noticed their site has been updated too, so things may be working well.

It was shame back then as they do carry a healthy stock, maybe its worth using them again.

I think there was a time when they got too busy and orders suffered.
Trevor is first rate and the shop always full of stock but he is very much a one mand band with family backup.

They are apparently moving shop into an industral type unit the other side of hinckley some time this year.I would expect would be some disruption then, but for the better as the shop could then expand......

Usually when I order stuff, as long as I don't leave it too late in the day and miss the post then I get the stuff next day. And if some of the stuff isn't in stock then he still sends the gear but sends the rest out free carrage when it arrives which is always a plus point.

My experiences with Midland has been positive. They made a mistake with my order, but Trevor was willing to correct it by sending the spares at their cost and adding two additional parts free of charge!

Just got my copy of IRCHA 2003 from Midland, 2 days. Brilliant.
I've bought a lot of bits from them, always prompt service and as Drunk Monk says if it's not in stock then it comes out free p&p.

Well, my experience with Midland Helicopters was not as good as you all guys.
First I order 2 sets of blades in year 2001 (forget the date). The blades arrived in 1 week in good order and my credit card was charged.
This year I would like to give a try an electric heli and I placed an order to Midland Helicopter a Hornet CP.
My email order was confirm. However 2 days later Trevor send an email saying that He do not shipped to Indonesia without any explanation. I send 2 emails to him for the reason why he do not serve my order. However, to date no response from him.

All my experiences have been good, apart from when I have sent them email which never got replied to. I just ended up phoning them .

EDIT: Oops, just remembered something else. When I ordered my Hornet CP by phone, one of the details I gave was wrong. I waited about two weeks and no Hornet came. I also had no communication from them during this period. I ended up having to phone them to clear it up, only then did they tell me that one of the details I gave was wrong

I've never had any major problems with Midland Helis, however they have always been slower to post orders than the likes of Skyline and Revolution models who I have had alot of success with.

I've never tried Skyline but Revolution is another good one to try. Always very friendly on the phone and they know what they are talking about and loads of raptor upgrades in stock

They are ok,but they used to be better, some time they are too busy to post your order out at the same day.
