balance

just wanted to know where to balance the helicopter i know by the main shaft dose the helicopter have to half full and should it be level or the noise pointing down or up slightly

Spread the main blades out so they are over the boom and over the nose (i.e. the flybar should be perpendicular with heli). Pick it up by the flybar with one finger each side. It should be pretty level when you do this. If it is either nose heavy or tail heavy move your radio gear around to compensate.

Should not matter if the heli is designed properly (i.e. fuel tank below main shaft. However, some designs have it much further towards the nose. In that case I would balance it half full (IMO). Some would say empty while others would say full. I would go half just to give you a middle of the road estimate.

Sorry,

I just saw that it is a Freya in which case the fuel tank is in the proper location. Full or empty won't matter.

i know FAI pilots fancy using lead to balance... you're freya (any of them) should not be too far off from spot on though... seeing as they are such a fine machine
