Ya i know its not a heli but....

I want to get a zagi http://www.trickrc.com but i need to know what is the minimum receiver I can use with it. It needs only 3 channels but i want to use my JR X-378 TX with it. Can i get away with an offbrand 3 ch receiver? What brands work with JR.

Thanks so much guys

Don't use those micro recievers eg. GWS, HiTec, etc. because they use micro crystals which are hard to get the correct matching ones. Also they have a limited transmision range. I use a JR610M micro 6 channel receiver. It uses regular size JR crystals and the range is the same as regular size receivers. It's really small, 37mm x 14mm x 20mm.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

most people use a hitec 555.

Fairly small dual conversion.

Cut out an area next to the battery tray an put it in the wing.

Go to http://www.clubzagi.com for more ideas.

I agree with Saint728. I use the JR610M micro 6 channel receiver. I moved it out to the left of the battery and bedded it into the foam. This reciever has great range and I have never had a problem with glitches after numerous crashes. I reccommend the JR610M. Chris

I used the JR micro. It worked well.

I've since sold all my JR stuff and gone Futaba and have a Hitec 555
ready to install now.

You should also look at the FMA-M5 receiver. I use it and it works great. It has signal processing to make sure that it allways has a clean signal.
