I am running a OS 91 C Spec with cline reg and viper head. on Freya XSPEC
Fuel is 30% performance plus
Enya #3 & #4 glow plugs
690 V BLADES
12 Deg Pitch

Needles currently
main 1 turn out
hover 7/8
idle factory

I am trying to find optimal settings, MY PROBLEM is

Hoover is fine with lots of smoke
When I give full throttle heli climbs with a tiny bit of bog then all of a sudden it will miss(or skiP) and then continue climbing
If i go leaner it gets too lean and richer losses lots of power and misses badly,

ANY HELP on this or suggestions on a starting point on veedle settings and any info on how to tune this motor in right would be greatly appreciated, Thanks guys, Patrick

C Spec

Add a shim. Could be too much nitro or add a bit more oil.

Also could be a air leak when the engine pulls hard. Either way, somehow the engine is leaning out.

One way

Check your one way bud, if this slips a little bit it will do this.
I have had a one way bearing slip for only a split second under hard power demand situations and it is weird to say the least.
12 degrees under a full power hard climb out will do this.
Look for a minute crack on the one way case.

Keith is on the money. My Freya OS91C was doing the same thing a few weeks ago. New oneway and problem gone.

A little late on this because, it would appear that others have given you solid advice. Looking at my calendar and the data sheet that came with my Viperhead, I would venture a guess that it is time to re-shim as OMI says, for the different running conditions, i.e., cooler temps.

Good luck with your 91/Viperhead combo!

If your one way is going, the engine will over speed..not miss. So you need to determine if it is over revving at times in the climbout. Inspect your one way very closely...it will have a small vertical crack along the outside of the case, this is the achilles heal on this heli...bigger engines really stress this part. I believe Augusto figured out a mod to the plastic housing that will prevent the one way from failing... maybe he'll chime in here...

It will fool you

Sometimes it will fool you and sound like a weird miss.
I kept trying to tune it out til a buddy said to check the one way and low and behold it solved the issue!

I am trying to find the problem, there is no crack so Should I just replase the bearing.

With the motor out I helt onto the main gear and tried to turn the head, If the bearing was bad would it have skipped then. I tried to turn it hard and there was no skipping,

What do I do from here, I am assuming just replase the one way bearing, Thanks for everyones Help up to this point, Patrick
