Thanks Tom,

That where I got my last filter from, however, they can only take bank transfer as the method of payment, and it costs too much overall for a filter.

Does the original filter enough in providing enough amount of air to TRM engines ? I like the smaller footprint.

The stock air filter does restrict the engine at higher RPM's. I have wanted to test different filters on my test stand but have not done it yet. Does eBay have any filters? They are common on RC gas trucks, you may be able to find an aftermarket filter closer to home. Any aftermarket filters that I have used did not restrict the engine like the stock filter.

Thanks Tom for the explanation.
The ones that I have is pretty big and I just don't like the appearance. I will check ebay, but I might not have choices on where to get them from (K&N), except from ddm.

@alan thanks

Wow

Futaba 9202 are the first servos I used on my 1005 gasser back in 1997. While they are OK and worked, 70oz torque, I wouldn't use them these days except for short term as they wouldn't last many flights - the pots will fail as you rack up some flights on them and with their limits they would be better suited for smooth flying not hard 3D.

Time is not a factor

How many 20 minute flights did you put on them?

The 9202 has the same pot as the shinny new Futaba servos.

Hi rbort, without doing the maths, 3 years old, summer months flying her 4 times a week around 12/15 min flight times. winter months twice a week around the same flight times or until I can`t feel my fingers lol.

Wayne Mann's estimate of the life of a 9202 was 500 flights. He wore out many sets of them to find out. The motors wear out first generally.

Lifespan

I think with their lifespan would be somewhere between 300 and 350 flights.
