I have one of those "everstart" or something battery jumpers, basically its just a 7 aH battery in a more complicated casing. It has a slot for running things that use a cigarette lighter plug. I tried to make things easier on myself so I wont get tangled in all the wire that I had before so I rigged my starter motor to a cigerrete plug so I can just plug it into this starter rig and run my starter off of it. Well theres a fuse on the cig adapter that I bought to connect to my starter. Im not worried about burning anything up anywhere in my setup so I really dont need the fuse, but I didn't feel like cutting out a dummy fuse out of aluminum or whatever to bypass it, so I just used a 30 amp fuse. Just wondering if anyone who is familiar with a tower starter motor, to know how many amps it draws. I was testing it on a semi dead battery, and even when I would seize the motor momentarily it didn't seem to burn it up. The tip of the cigerrete apapter did get a tiny bit hot but thats not going to cause a problem. Just that fuse. It accepts one those car dashboard fuses. Do they even make that type of fuse in sizes greater than 30 amps.

Make it idiot-proof, and someone will make a better idiot
