Has anyone got any comments on the control rod set for the Fury. MA0853-2. Thats the turnbuckle type. Do you need to change the ball links or are they the same size? Are they any stronger than the stock ones.
Thanks

If you're talking about the machined rods with left and right hand threads, they use the same links as the stock rods. They are definitely more rigid and worth using for the longer rods as they don't vibrate/resonate like the stock rods can. The downside is that they are more likely to cause broken servo gears in a crash

don't use them

Do not buy that set of rods, they are briddle and will brake, ask any of the minirature pilots, they will tell you not to run them. MA did come out with some fairly rods for the servos, they are beefier and take the "grey" ball link(larger size hole for the larger rod).

I'd go with the larger rods too. Infinite adjustement with the turnbuckle rods looks good on paper, but it's a hell of a lot more predictable and repeatable to make adjustments in 1/2 turn increments. Perfectionist that I am, I decided long ago that an infinately adjustable rod would just about drive me to complete insanity .

Ben's Insanity

I now understand why Dr Ben is why he is. It's the infinitely adjustable rods.

Thanks fella's. Its a good point as I have enough trouble keeping track of 1/2 turns let alone 1/8th's. Do I need to get new links to go with the heavier duty Tempest rods or will the standard ones be okay?
