I just pulled the trigger on a goblin 770 and need help selecting a motor for this thing.
I am looking to make this thing as nasty as possible using 14s batteries.
As i see it my choices are the scorpion 4530-450, Pyro 800-48 or the pyro 850-40. At this point money is not the deciding factor.
Let me know what you think.

kontronik all the way, i had an 800-48 in mine, more power than i could ever ask for on a 200a kosmik. even if you could squeeze the 850 in im not sure its worth it with the low headspeed this thing can handle the gear train cant take any more power. i ate a few main gears any anything above 2000

Good information! The 770 competition manual lists the 850-40 as a possible motor. There does not seem to be a price difference between the 800 and the 850. I suppose if I were to strip gears that would get a bit pricey.
