AGAIN???? Why no mention of it here. Raja did it with the heaviest heli you could enter...Raja,,,,,,Is this true?? I don't doubt it at all,,,,man you got it going for you and congrats!!! You are proof weight don't matter,,,it is the guy behind the sticks!!!! This is big news and I heard from a guy that went there. Why no mention here?? I would think this is big news for the gasser community ,,???????????

Had to use an electric
while I use the gasser and it's a handicap to win with, this year they had a 10 second climb out duration auto. there is no way a gasser is going to have a chance against the mikado pro pilot with the logo 700. My electric evened out the playing field as if I flew the gasser he would have climbed two to three times as high on ten seconds. as it was he out climbed my logo with 2 year old batteries and only my skill made the 10 second difference between us.

Funny thing is, over dinner the night before several people thought the gasser had an advantage with weight and I tried to tell them not true but they wouldn't listen even though I am the pilot and should know!! Boy were they wrong...

I suggested altitude limiters be considered for future events to level the playing field. Be curious to hear what others think about their use and how they may affect the results.

arm chair pilots? Zip-Tie a couple pounds of weight to your Mikado 700 and see how well is auto's

I speak from experience, auto'ing my Predator gasser many times. Auto's well but not as well as my Trex-700n which does not auto as well as my Trex-800

I still think an interesting auto competition would be with "spec" 450 class. All running the same 325mm blades (say a specific part number Align blades) and a specific weight limit for the frame. I like auto's with my 450, but spot auto's are more of a challenge for sure

For the gliders
At the IRCHA nats, they had some device that shut the motor off when you got up to 200 meters altitude, or 30 seconds run time whichever came first. Not sure how it would work in a Heli but it may very well be possible.
