Hello folks!

i want to get a phantom but not sure what or how I should purchase it.

I want the phantom to work and communicate with my iPhone exactly the way the vision plus does.

This is leads me to my question....if I were to purchase the phantom and zenmuse gimbal to use with my go pro camera. What exactly else would I need to purchase to have it work the same as the vision plus?
ie: being able to fpv through iPhone, being able to send pics to iPhone etc etc. if it is even possible.

Not sure what route I should go.

thanks for your time

Get the Vision Plus!
I would say that it could probably be done, but not using your iPhone for video or the DJI App.

I'm sure one of the experts out there might know, but I'm willing to bet you will spend allot more on parts, than you would want and could easily get the Vision Plus and get a really good machine.

Now, I have an F550 as well as my Vision Plus.

The F550 has a remote transmitter setup with an adapter that goes to my GOPRO. I have a 7 inch monitor mounted on my transmitter that I use for my FPV operations.

You could contact Aerial Media Pros and see what they have to offer and maybe give you some suggestions, since they do major mods on Phantoms.

Still think you should just buy the Vision Plus, it will save you some bucks in the long run.

Hope this helps.

Take Care.

does the 2 + come with the Wi-FI Ranger Extender?
Will it work with an Iphone 6 Plus.
Are there any downsides to using an Iphone?

Thanks,
Jeff

iPhone 6
About the only way you can check to see if it works with the Vision Plus is to Download the Vision APP to your iPhone.

You can find it in the App Store.

Search for DJI VISION. If the app is compatible with your phone, you should be able to download it. IT is FREE.

And yes the Vision Plus comes with the WIFI Extender.

Take Care.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.
What is a reasonable range to expect with the Wi-fi extender?

Not Sure!
I'm not sure.

I do know that the WIFI extender is not the greatest and you will lose video response fairly quickly.

If you are wanting to do video for long distances, you will not always have a good picture until the Phantom gets closer back to your Extender.

Hope that helps.
