question on pitch setting....
the setting on my gasser manual is -6 at low stick...+6 at half stick & +11 at high stick
RC260RC motor with 850mm blades GY611 gyro normal hover

what happen is i have -2 ot 3 instead of the above? is it easier to land
with more negative or less.

Thank you

the setting on my gasser manual is -6 at low stick...+6 at half stick & +11 at high stick
what heli manual is this for? These settings remind me of very old school approach when they hovered at half stick. I personally run everything linear in all modes . So for example half stick is 0 degrees pitch and full up collective is 11 degrees and down is 11 degrees. If you want to use your manual settings and do it as it says ,,,negative 6 degrees will get you down and in a hurry if you are not used to it.
What is the helicopter you are setting up??

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

I would not go less than -6. If you fly in some windy conditions than you will need the negative to get the heli down.

Also if your trying to land in normal mode and your throttle curve cuts out to soon it may seem like the heli falls rather quickly.

First off the Goose is a nice heli! Second seems like you fly alot ,,what are you used to with your other heli's as far as pitch curves go? I would think you would want to be as comfortable as possible . But if you are used to hovering at half stick then do it as you are familiar with that setup. If you hover at over half stick then I would set it up that way.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

these are great tips thanks guys......i'd never understood the concept
of pitch setings.... how to line up the gage with flybar; one of the guys at the fly field allways set it up for me and he never explained to us how it was done.

now i see that there's no big deal to do it.... but what i see people talking about settings here in this forum is that gasser helis vs nitro & electric and i know that we're talking about 2 different animals gasser equals torque and the other two are speed so for guys like myself it makes a little it more hard
to understand.

I wouldn't worry about that as each type of powerplant has a gear ratio optimised to do the same thing. Gassers are different to tune and if you have never owned one I would do some research or find a gasser guy in your area to help you. Go to the Airstar section here on this forum and ask specific questions of this heli that concern you. Gassers have no where near the power of the mighty lipo heli's,,but that is a big part of their charm. A goose swings big blades and fly's beautifully. There are some nice vids of the goose here in the goose section of some nice 3d flying too!
