UIH,

Nice, Ro and I will be there Thursday afternoon. I think Ro has picked out some good places to stuff our Pie Holes.

I am sure she has found a "Rita" factory as well.

UIH,

Butch

UIH,

First, Thanks to Bob Harris Fredricksburg Area RC Model Club for hosting this scale event.

This is a FANTASTIC venue.

A runway like a golf course, Air conditioned club house, flight line power, permanent shade and tables,

We had about 15 heli arrive Friday which allowed every pilot just about as much air time as desired. I personally got in about 5 flights each on C-2 and my 76.

With pretty much unlimited flight area, "BIG AIR" was my motto for the day.

If you could not make this one, you missed a good one.

Here are some pics from Friday.

UIH,

Butch

Wow, looks like you guys had a great time! I see that Don made it down from the cold white North, that's a heck of a drive...

Nah, did it with my eyes closed, lol. Only ten hours, including the DC traffic shuffle.

Guys:

This is one great place to have any event with one of the nicest grass fields I have ever seen. Almost 800ft. of smooth, groomed grass that is nearly 150ft. wide. Bob flies with some really helpful and friendly people that bend over backwards to help you out. I have never seen more covered areas to set your helicopters and chairs up anywhere. There were lots of power stations and I didn't need to run the truck to charge my batteries. That is one nice touch. The Saturday evening dinner was top notch and the cake was a work of art.

If you don't put this one on your calendar for next year, you're going to miss out on a great group of people that love scale helicopters. Don't miss out. Big thanks out to Bob and the Fredericksburg RC Club for hosting.

I got a few pictures to post from the event. It took us just a bit over 9 hours to make it back and we avoided the mad rush back to DC from the beaches of Virginia. See you soon.
