Hello! I am considering converting one of my 4503d to FBL and using the BD 3sx, the Cap Rescue sounds very good. I know its expensive. I can fly the 450 ok and a MCPX BL fairly well, but doing loops and flying inverted is one thing on the BL and quite another on the 450. Crash costs on a 450 will outweigh the demon costs, like my sim. The Blade is pretty cheap though. I think the servos will work. I also just got a DX 9 which I found out one annoying thing. No spring type switches(when you let go they pop back). I'd prefer Capitan Rescue on a easy spring switch instead of a three way. Anyway any suggestions on the Blade 450 to BD would be appreciated. As a side note I just read a great book called Howards Whirlybirds about Hughes Helicopter Company. Very interesting. Good weekend!

What servos do you have?

The BD3SX should be fine in your 450 even just using the Spek satellites.

Do you have a pair of spektrum satellites?

They plug in straight into the BD3XS so you wont need another receiver.

Check voltage and current.
With sats the demon Needs ALLWAYS 5.5V or more.
Even no Spikes below.

I don't have a pair of sats, I was planning on using a new AR7610 which I thought was better than using sats for voltage reasons. Not sure on that. Thanks for the help!

In addition, Professor would the reason for sats be space on the heli? I suppose the large 7 channel rx would have unused space such as the air/ele inputs and such which would be controlled by the Demon. This humble fool would appreciate your wise advice!

The 7 ch RX will work as well through the cable loom.

Just make sure you have plenty of power AND voltage for the RX and servos as RogerRabbit62 said.

IF you are not sure the ESC you are using has a robust BEC to power your servos, you may want to consider using a separate RX battery.

I have helicommand with capt. rescue on my 2 whiplash gassers that I fly with a DX8. I physically swapped the bind button and the gear switch and assigned rescue to the button. Now the button is right under my left index finger and works like a champion. The captain has saved my butt a few times and is well worth the price of admission.

Man you guys make me mad... now I am really thinking of putting the Bavarian Deamon on my new Rex800. I might as well have a bailout if I am buying new electronics... I was going to put a BeastX on it until I read up on this device.

That will take a couple of months to save and wait for.

OK, finally got the Demon in and while trying to hook it up realize I need a Y connector for the USB and power to share the same pins, however where do you obtain said Y connector? I looked on the web and couldn't find anything. All the postings made it sound like it should be lying around your workbench! Thanks for any steerage on this.
