Is it a good idea to place the 2 satellites outside the fuselage of the trex 550e v2 FBL (Vbar) to have a better reception of antenna? The fuse is the Bell 222. If not where is the best place? Do I need to leave originally attached within the trex frame? Please let me know. Thank you for your responses.

The satellites will penetrate to the Rx. The fuselage will not be an issue. I recommend placing a satellite at the front and rear to encompass the needed signals. Place the satellites at 90 degrees to each other and separate by 60mm.

Fiberglass fuselage, no problem. Inside works fine.

Carbon fiber, then you'll either place them externally, or use the Spektrum carbon fiber receivers with long antenna wires to get the antenna outside the fuselage.
