Is it possible to run,lets say a Hacker A40-10L motor without using the bottom bearing block under the motor if the shaft isn't long enough?

I don't think sport flying would be too bad without the lower motor bearing. If you are a smack-3d flyer, you might want to get a longer shaft and use that lower bearing. It reduces stress on the motor bearings, especially if you are using the slant gears.
