I have recently installed a dual R7008SB setup in one of my turbine airplanes. Rx 1 is set in mode A and rx 2 is set in mode C so that I have the number of channels available that I need. The receivers are sitting side by side on Velcro and one pair of antenna's go to the left side of the fuselage and the second pair goto the right side. Antenna pairs are 90 deg. to each other. I have my 18MZ setup with fasstest 18 channel and configured as dual receiver. I have linked the primary and secondary receivers and the D/L interval is the default 1 second. I'm monitoring the receiver voltage and a second pack voltage that powers the turbine ecu. The problem that I'm having is the receiver and ext battery voltages are intermittent, that is the voltages will be displayed for a few seconds accurately and then the reported voltages will be 0 for both for a few seconds and then back to accurate. I have tried switching the 18mz to a single receiver configuration with no difference. I have tried getting the ext voltage from the other receiver with no difference. Finally I removed power from the #2 rx and the telemetry is solid for both voltages. I repower the #2 rx and it is intermittent again. I believe what is happening is that both rx's are transmitting telemetry back to the transmitter on the same frequency and confusing it. I have read through the instructions and I find no provision to disable/enable the bi-directional nature of the receiver. It seems to me if Futaba has made it possible to configure 2 receivers to be used in tandem to achieve the higher channel count then the transmit section of one of the receivers should have the ability to be disabled. Or I may be missing something here and there is some other issue.
