Replacing the rear bearing on the motor as it was orange and also replacing the clutch, bell housing, and fan for good measure. If this doesn't work, I quit!!

May have found the culprit!! Discovered a missing magnet on the clutch bell housing. Replaced the whole drive train so hopefully that will solve the vibe issue!!

Missing magnet will sure cause high frequency vibes that the gyros don't like.

I'm sure it won't solve your tail issue though and as everything tail pitch control wise seems to be in order, the next thing to check is the actual tail drive? You say it stops the piro when you hit TH? That says to me its a drive issue and that something must be slipping. Grab the head and try turn the tail to check?

60% of the time, it works every time!

Setup is perfect and the gyro works as intended. I'm pretty confident it was the magnet issue but I probably won't be able to test it until tomorrow

HeliProz South had a video about vibs and the BX. I have 4 and each one has works quite well. They are on a Rave Env Nitro, Rave 3D, JR Vibe 50, and an old Trex600NP. They all had vib issues, so I bought the automotive molding tape Ron Lund recommends and it took care of all the issues except the Trex. I had to go into the parameter menu and drop the t/r sensitivity down one notch, it was one level below the default which normally works as it did in 3 out 4 of mine. It took care of it.

The vibs affected the cyclic issues. I didn't have a t/r issue except the tail hunted and gain adjustment wasn't helping. The pirouette looks like endpoint adjustment, but I could be wrong. Can't tell if you have a vib that drives the servo to full end throw.

Don't use any thick tape. Use just one thin layer and make sure the BX case doesn't touch anything except the tape. Thick tape will allow the whole case to shake and respond with unwanted commands.

I would:
1) use the the moulding tape if not already and keep it thin one layer.
2) do Setup Menu steps E and F again to be sure it's correct especially F.
3) if you still have a erratic tail like to much gain, go into the Parameter Menu and reduce step D. That helped my Trex. I changed the default steady red to flashing red.

I wouldn't toss it out. It's a good system.

Well SHUT MY MOUTH, good for HORIZON HOBBY SERVICES
Sent in that bum AR7200BX unit a week ago Wednesday and today a
brand new replacement unit arrived in my mailbox. Doesn't make up for the blades, gears, tailboom, boom, skid braces supports but at least I'm not
dealing with that failed unit. Now, to go through setup and carefully check out this new unit.

Thanks HH service. wish me luck.

That's awesome!! Maybe I should send my old unit back in and see if there is an issue.

On a separate note.... MY NITRO FINALLY SUCCESSFULLY FLEW!! After much research, heartache, money, aggravation, etc... the problem turned out to be within the new KDE upgrade that I installed on the heli. I took the tail assembly off of my electric and installed it on the nitro and it locked right in and flew like a dream!! I will be disassembling the KDE tail and see what the issue is. I put 6 flights on her today and while my confidence in the machine isn't 100% yet, I did do some loops and rolls with very mild 3d and she flew like a dream. I can't wait to really start flying her!!

Thanks to Kenny Sierra and all the guys at ARCA who helped me and got me back in the air. You don't know how much I appreciate y'all!!

Ah hah.. good that I turned out to be wrong and you found it. One thing I did see once was one of the torque tube ends come loose and able to slip inside of the torque tube. This was on a tube where I found it before actually putting it in the heli, but if it had gone in, it could have produced a slipping tail-drive syndrome...

That would be interesting to see if that's what happened on your machine. It strikes me as exceedingly rare, but I did have a loose one once (I think it was a trex tube, not sure).

I'm leading to believe that my issue lies within the thrust bearings more specifically the inner and outer race. The thrust bearings themselves are installed correctly but the KDE races didn't have any indicators to which race went in and which one went out. I'll hopefully tear into it tomorrow but as long as my nitro is flying, I'm good!!
