Yes it will be a good starter, starts to works on your control and orientations.. then when you are getting better, picks other selection of helis.. they will be less forgiving than this one. but then you'll be better to handle any difficult situations. If you buy addon CD#3 it has raptor30 and raptor 60 on it. It will be definitely a bonus to control a heli looks like your own. most helis on g2 can be tweaked out to fly like your own, when you getting better at it. There are many settings you can change to make your heli response differently and how responsive depending on your skills. Keep practice a lot on the sim, it will pay off when you get to fly the real thing.

As someone who has learnt on G2 this year, the major thing for me was the training UC. The model looked so different without it. I think that has more visual impact than the colour or characteristics of the sim heli.

If you become proficient with the G2 Impala, and providing someone has set-up your model for you, the model should fly much easier than the sim. I used the training UC for the first couple of flights then removed it.

Good luck

Pete
