Talon 35 takes up to 6S, so 3S or 6S will be fine.

Make sure you really want to save $50 on the ESC, a 50A ESC gives you wayyy more room to breathe. Even something like a YEP 45A may be a better choice, despite being even cheaper!

Good luck!

If you are planning on using with 460MX strictly on 6S, you should be fine with the Talon 35. If you intend on using same motor on 3S and 6S, ie low headspeed configuration, then I would say that the Talon 35 is not enough as 3S will draw more current. It really depends on how you fly at 3S, but better safe with a high rated esc.

Oddly enough, the internal BEC of the Talon 35 is better than the CC 50 Edge Lite, so by going with the 50 lite, you may need an external BEC depending on the servos you are using.

Wrong. You are correct in saying 3s draws more current when a 3s motor is used or the 6s motor with a much larger pinion, but as you aren't changing the pinion (low headspeed configuration) then the current is actually halved what it was on 6s!

This is why you can get 8 minutes running a 700E on 6s1p 5Ah yet only 4 minutes on 12s1p 5Ah. Same 4000mah used (80%).

4000 / 8 = 500/min or 30A (6s)

4000 / 4 = 1000/min or 60A (12s)

60% of the time, it works every time!

I stand corrected. Thanks.
