I've found the following issues in my 700E DFC kit:
1. Carbon boom is bent.
2. The main blades grips are binding on the feathering shaft. I've checked the spindle bearing spacers, bearings are seating fine inside the grips, there are no scorings marks inside the grips, feathering shaft sleeves are properly pressed inside the main hub, and dampers are good.
3. Little or no mesh between the main gear and motor pinion. Assembly has been checked, the pinion spacer is being used, and the pinion and main gear match is perfect.
4. Two DS615 servos feel gritty; one is specially gritty at many points of its transit; the other is gritty at one side of its transit.
5. Main blades span wise CG is off by 1/8", which is way off! The chord wise balance is way off too. I have a Koll RotorPro balancer that lets you check both. Goods carbon blades for a 700 shouldn't be that off on either specs. As an example, I'll need to add 2 grams of weight on each blade at key positions to correct the span wise CG.
My maiden flight might be far off more than I thought. I'm reporting these issues to Align.
