gary saia rrApprentice chandler tx usa | HI I have Century 4 and 5 blade All Metal head , for 600-700 size ,,, 60-90 size , Diamond V-2 Head , I have a problem with the Outer Race on Thrust Bearing , not wanting to slide on to the spindle Shaft , If anyone else has had Problem with fitting heads to together , thanks , Gary | ||

Keygrigger rrVeteran Mississauga, Ont. Canada | Make sure that the thrust bearings are set the right way around. Take the two washers and fit them to the spindle. If the one you presently have on the outside is a loose fit, then you have them switched. That is not to say you might have done that but it may have been switched in general assembly for shipment. The larger hole diameter hole always goes to the inside and the smaller hole diameter goes on the outside. Hope that solves it.DonPS: Check for small burrs and use a fine die sinker file to break the burr. | ||

![]() rrElite Veteran Palos Verdes, Ca. USA | X2^^^ Also, you may want to de-burr the inside of the thrust bearing I.D.. Sometimes there are small burrs that make them tight on the feathering shaft.
